Review: creative aurvana in-ear3 plus - excellent armature headphones with dual drivers. Impressions from listening

Headphones Creative Aurvana In-Ear 2 Plus- This is an excellent option for those who want to listen to music in good quality. This is a good alternative to famous brands. In this review, I will take a closer look at the advantages and disadvantages of this model. Creative Aurvana In-Ear 2 Plus

Creative company produces sound cards and headsets for those who love online battles. However, the range of this company does not end there. The list of devices produced by the company also includes headphones for listening purposes. The modification is quite affordable, and therefore is in great demand among music lovers. The company has a high rating.

Briefly about Creative Aurvana In-Ear 2 Plus headphones

The Creative Aurvana In-Ear 2 Plus headphones are miniature in-ear headphones that have a comfortable fit, an elastic matte cord, and noise-cancelling features (inactive). The kit includes the following components:

  • a case that has a magnetic clasp;
  • headphone cleaning device;
  • three pairs of vacuum liners;
  • adapter for amplifier;
  • instructions and warranty card.

The headphones are also equipped with a wired remote control, which has a button with which you can adjust the volume and a microphone.

Specifications

Headphones of this type have worthy technical characteristics, namely a wide range and high sensitivity.

These headphones are intended for those who need protection from ambient noise. No matter what noisy and crowded place you are in (cafe, metropolis, shopping center, metro), headphones of this type will be able to protect you from discomfort, because the track being played will be heard perfectly, but the volume will not be turned up to the maximum.

Thanks to the balanced armature of this type of headphones, they are perfect for those who prefer low frequencies. The length of the cable is also quite acceptable; it is moderately flexible and elastic, and is also suitable for using absolutely any equipment.

Sound and features

Like the sound quality, it is quite high. During listening, the sound seems quite warm and pleasant. Bass may be a little weak, but detail, for example, is at a high level. When using headphones, a realistic sound picture is drawn before us, since the frequencies are ringing, the bass is rich, and the mids are quite decent.

The peculiarity of the headphones is that they are more suitable for those who do not like sound with additional effects. For example, those who do not use an equalizer. If you listen to electronic music, then it is better to choose a different model. Headphones of this type are more suitable for those tracks in which vocals play the main role. For example, if you prefer symphonic, instrumental music or acoustics, then you can buy headphones without delay.

Also, one of the main advantages of headphones is that they do not tire your ears. Of course, if you listen to music for four hours straight, your ears will get tired anyway, but if you do everything in moderation, you will be satisfied with the result. Another significant advantage is that they fit perfectly in the ears. Sometimes we listen to music when we go outside; it’s not entirely comfortable when the headphones don’t stay in our ears. In this case, everything is different.

It should be noted that the kit includes attachments of various sizes. The weight of the headphones is quite acceptable, approximately 12 g, and the dimensions are also quite compact. A significant advantage of headphones is that they can work with various types of smartphones, laptops, tablets and phones.

The headphones have a fairly attractive design. Modern, pleasing to the eye. They look quite compact due to their size.

Conclusion

Thus, in conclusion, I would like to say that headphones are a truly high-quality music device for those who value sound. high quality without embellishment. The headphones have an honest frequency range and sufficient power.

Undoubtedly, any model has its advantages and disadvantages. There are undoubtedly advantages in the predominant situation here. Yes, there are small nuances, but this is a problem that does not require special attention. It is worth noting that the price of the device is reasonable. If your musical tastes match the capabilities of the headphones, then their quality will be consistent with the cost.

For those completely unfamiliar with the technical side of the issue, I will make a brief explanation. Almost all headphones on the market are dynamic. Roughly speaking, they are designed like ordinary speakers, only greatly reduced in size. The dynamic design is not distinguished by high reliability and purity of reproduction, and the reduction in size only aggravates its shortcomings.

Balanced armature headphones, also known as armature headphones, use a different technology that involves a movable U-shaped ferromagnetic armature acting on a radiating membrane.

In a reinforced radiator, the membrane is much lighter than in a dynamic one, since there is no magnet attached to it. The armature is much heavier than the membrane, due to which the latter’s own elasticity does not affect the reliability of the reproduced sound.

Headphones with a balanced armature are a completely different level of reliability and purity of sound, unattainable for “ordinary” dynamic models.

Like many other cool technologies, armature emitters were originally used in the medical and military fields. This emitter is VERY loud and sensitive, which is why they were used in hearing aids.

During World War II, “rebar” was used in military communications. At the same input signal level, the reinforcement emitter produced a 40% louder sound than the dynamic one, which helped to better hear the interlocutor against the background of explosions and other “delights” of combat operations.

Balanced armature headphones received studio status thanks to the same extraordinary volume and fidelity. During a live performance, the performer needs to somehow hear the music and himself, and hear it well, clearly and correctly. The sound reflected from the concert hall returns with a delay, and therefore it is useless to focus on it.

Monitor speakers mounted on stage and aimed at the performer create unwanted acoustic problems due to the need to operate at high volumes and do not allow movement around the stage. Headphones with a balanced armature are free from all these disadvantages.

The armature driver had only one problem - a smaller operating range than dynamic ones, but after the technology penetrated the mass market, engineers from manufacturing companies of consumer and professional audio equipment eliminated the shortcoming.

The special beauty of headphones with a balanced armature is that they can be purchased at a very reasonable price, and in return you will receive studio-quality sound.

ZEN headphones have collected many awards in their time, and their developers received even more rays of positivity from grateful customers. Obviously, in an effort to gain the next portion of money, fame and positive reviews, the guys strained their brains and came up with a second version of these “ears”.

Design

I'm not a fan of all the frills and other unnecessary decorations. Why screw something up if high-quality material and time-tested shape are beautiful in themselves? Polished metal with a brown tint and simple cylinders without frills are what you need, in my opinion. It’s immediately obvious: the developers did not try to hide the mediocre sound behind the elaborate design. But in fairness, I note that the previous incarnation of these “ears” - Zen Aurvana In-Ear - although it was completely white and looked much more unusual, it sounded no worse.

Design

Inside each earphone is a mesh speaker with a balanced armature. Experienced audiophiles also call these headphones “reinforced” headphones. All other things being equal, they sound much more accurate and richer than their dynamic counterparts. I agree, the range from 15 Hz to 16 kHz is not something that people usually brag about, but it is worked out one hundred percent, and you will not hear such detailed bass and crystal clear highs in dynamic headphones.

Sound

Oh! I will probably not be afraid of these words now and say that the Creative Aurvana In-Ear 2 are the best in-ear headphones that have ever been in my ears. An excellent sound panorama is combined with well-developed bass (not protruding, but well-developed) and clean, detailed midrange and high frequencies. In addition to this, the set includes 3 pairs of soft silicone “plugs” that cut off most of the external noise (the technology is called AuraSeal) and allow you to enjoy your favorite songs.

A bit of linguistics

Don’t delude yourself and think that the developers spent a long time philosophizing to come up with a name for the accessory. This is just a marketing ploy (occasionalism, to be precise) designed to create a colorful image in the buyer’s head. We combined the Latin audio and the Indian nirvana, and as a result we got the word aurvana, which is associated both with sound and with deliverance from suffering. It turned out to gracefully fit an entire phrase into seven letters. Something like “With our headphones, you will no longer suffer from poor quality sound!”

Resume

What rating should I give to such “ears”? Well, of course, five! And not even a simple one, but a big plus five! Everything about them is very cool, and the only thing that might confuse me is the price. For quality, as you probably already guessed, they will demand a lot - so if you decide to buy Aurvana In-Ear 2, prepare at least four thousand rubles, or even more.

Choose good headphones sometimes a very difficult task. In most cases, you want to combine the following factors at the same time: good sound quality, microphone, stylish appearance, good isolation from the outside world (relevant in the metro) and, of course, low price. We don’t know anything about the price, but the Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus headphones from Creative promise to satisfy all other points!

Appearance, delivery set

The headphones come in a small and at the same time uneasy packaging. Removing the top plastic part turned out to be such a difficult task that the manufacturer provided special instructions for this.

In order to get the headphones, you need to peel off the very tenacious adhesive tape from the side of the box and then press firmly on the transparent part in two places. In this case, the force should be controlled so that the lid does not fly off somewhere to the side. Let's face it, we didn't manage to do this the first time.

The Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus headphones themselves are mounted on a transparent plastic pedestal. Thanks to it, you can see the silver mesh on the back of the headphones, and even admire the In-Ear2 Plus themselves.

The headphones turned out to be very light and compact - only 12 grams with a cable length of 1.2 meters. This size ratio is usually reserved for inexpensive models with mediocre sound, which is difficult to expect from a Creative headset costing 6,000 rubles. However, there were also advantages: the In-Ear2 Plus fit perfectly in the ears, and thanks to their light weight, you can forget about the existence of the headphones after just a couple of minutes of use.

In addition, thanks to the tight fit, the headset will fall out of your ears even while running. Stating that Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus provides up to 95% sound insulation, the manufacturer was not lying. The headphones really reliably cut out most of the external noise thanks to their soft silicone ear pads.

The remote control of the Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus turned out to be completely minimalistic. It has a single button for starting, stopping and rewinding tracks and a mechanical volume slider. The latter is in no way connected with the phone or any other device to which the headset will be connected.

The microphone is located on the cable leading to the right earpiece. To answer a call or end a call, you need to press the only key on the headset during the call. According to the manufacturer's description, the cable is made of oxygen-free copper, but it has a regular plastic braid.

The delivery package turned out to be rich. In addition to the headphones, we found in the box a carrying case, two pairs of ear pads (sizes S and L), an adapter for connecting to tricky audio on airplanes, and a special device for caring for the Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus.

Testing

Cut-off high frequencies are a common problem with all headphones, and the Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus, whose frequency range is in the range from 15 Hz to 16 kHz, is no exception.

In the first composition, Queen – Who Want To Live Forever, the lack of high frequencies was clearly noticeable, this especially affected the cymbals and vocals of Freddie Mercury. In the next track, Rolling Stones – Anybody Seen My, we heard an excellent midrange and clear, detailed elaboration of almost all instruments.

Conclusion

The Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus turned out to be very nice headphones. Their main advantage is their compact size and very low weight of 12 grams. At first glance, it may seem that we are looking at ordinary, cheap Chinese headphones with appropriate sound. However, after the first close acquaintance with In-Ear2 Plus, this impression dissipates.

The headphones sound very nice. Of course, thanks to the "balanced armature" technology, the Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus will lack a little treble, but this common problem the entire “reinforcement”. These headphones deliver good, clear mids and boast a wide stereo range. And if you add to this list of advantages the fact that the product is very light and fits perfectly in its place of work, then the Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus becomes a very profitable purchase.

As for the price, at the time of writing this review, the Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus costs about 6,000 rubles. Not that expensive for armature headphones.

Review of Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 Plus armature headphones was last modified: August 3rd, 2016 by Konstantin

They broke for me. Moreover, in the most classic way - the wire was “pulled” from one “ear”. Well you know. It turned out somehow awkward - I just wrote about “my new favorite headphones” when they broke.

I was in no hurry to write about Creative Aurvana In-Ear2. For various reasons, but including this one, headphones that haven’t lasted even six months shouldn’t be praised, even if they sound great.

Honestly, I don’t remember whether it’s been six months since I’ve been using Aurvana, three months or four. But since they still haven’t broken, it means they at least deserve praise for it.

Well, and for the sound, of course. This is probably not the case when it’s worth describing “crystal clear highs” and “deep, tight bass” simply because the headphones don’t try to single out any one frequency band and shove it into your ear. But my regular readers know that this is exactly the sound I like - smooth, unobtrusive. Let the musicians and sound engineer do all the magic, not the headphones. Headphones should simply sound high quality and convey as accurately as possible what the musicians created.

And not break after a month.

And don't get confused. However, the latter still happens with Creative Aurana, but not very often. I think if I constantly folded them “just right,” they wouldn’t get tangled at all, but that’s what happens sometimes. They unravel quickly, moreover. Is it some kind of coating or something else...

Conclusions

In general, I repeat once again, headphones, in addition to good sound, must also have a margin of safety. Especially if they cost 4 thousand rubles, like the Creative Aurvana In-Ear2. But so far this model’s durability—pah-pah-pah—is all good. I don’t remember if I had time to wash them, but so far no complaints. Well, if they break, I’ll write, what can you do...
